Teen is a period where a person looks for the real identity. In this period, teens like to do something that they want really to know in order to meet their curiosity. One of the things that teen always asking is about sex, now teens start to have experience in having sex. This condition is effect to the high number of teen pregnancy. This is the frightening condition where most of teen pregnancy is under 20. Pregnant in teen is really dangerous, therefore in this article we have to inform you about teen pregnancy risks. Here we go the risks that will be taken by teens.

Teen does not recommended to pregnant, especially for those 15 to 19 years old. It is because the reproductive organs are not strong to do intercourse and childbirth. Teen pregnancy has high risks of serious injury of the genital and has risk of die while giving birth. Moreover, death can be also happened to the young mother and the baby. Even the baby and mother have not died; the other possibility is premature birth. It is happened because the uterus does not ready yet to keep the fetal. The effects of premature are down syndrome, respiratory disorder, jaundice and blindness.

The other teen pregnancy risks is miscarriage, it can be occur at young mother by accident, such as stress, shock and anxiety. However, there is also miscarriage because of nonprofessional personnel, thus make some serious side effects, such as high number of mortality and reproductive infection that also will effect to sterility. If there is economical problem of the family, the high risks of infection will happened to the teenage when give birth.

The next risk is pregnancy anemia and lack of nutrient. The anemia in teen pregnancy is happened because the lack of nutrient. It has function to increase the hemoglobin, create the hemoglobin of baby and placenta. If young pregnant mother has lack of nutrient for long term, it will be anemic.

The pregnancy of teen under 14 has risk of higher medical complication than mature woman. It is because the pelvic area of teen is undeveloped perfect yet. Based on the research says that 2 years after first menstrual cycle, teen still experience the infancy pelvic around 2-9% and height growth around 1%. Thus, it effect of disproportion cephalo-pelvic of young mother. This problem also poses new problem that is difficulties of giving birth, therefore most of young mother must be done with Caesarea. However, if there is no possibility to Caesarea, it will effect to preeclampsia or seizures during childbirth. This condition will also make mother and baby die.

The last risks of teen pregnancy is seen through the young mother under over 15 years old. Based on the research in America, the risk of teen pregnancy over 15 years old is not about biological term, but it is more focus about social and economic condition. The social condition is happened where teen has higher emotional level and also unstable emotional.

Teen pregnancy is the real tragedy that happened in real life around the world. This is a kind of frightening thing that happened because of uncontrolled teenagers of their self. Moreover, this is also happened because teenage phase is a phase where they have lots of curiosities about life, one of them is about sex. Having sex in teenage is actually cannot be prevent, because it is about the social life where they hang out and make friend with the opposite sex for a relationship. The story of teen pregnancy is also depicted in teen pregnancy books which is tells in plot story. Those fictional books of pregnancy will be explained here.

The first book comes from Anna Feinberg entitled Borrowed Light. It is tells about inner contemplation of 16 year old girl, Callisto – an Australian girl. She lives with her grandmother, an astrophysicist, so that Callisto follows her passion in astronomy. Her name is actually named of one of Jupiter’s moon. She is a lonely girl who leaves by father to travel around South Africa. She finally finds her popularity when she meets a handsome boy, Tim. During some months, they have sex and Callisto turns pregnant. She plans to have abortion by herself, but her mother forces her to do abortion in the clinic. Her family tries to support her and help her to learn about her light surround her life.

2. A dance for Three

This is a story of Louise Plummer. This is a story of 15 years old girl who pregnant. The story begins when the father of Hannah dead because of strange tragedy. Hannah finds that she is pregnant after having sex with Milo, her boyfriend. She imagines and believes that Milo will marry her, spend the time in happiness together. Hover it does not as beautiful as she imagine. This novel tells about the distress of Hannah in facing her life.

3. Harley’s Ninth

The next teen pregnancy books is Harley’s Ninth by Cat Bauer. This is a story about 16 year old girl who lives with her biological father in the NYC. In the time of 9 October, she will open her art gallery. Next to the story, she has sex with Evan, her boyfriend. This novel is tell a lot about the worries about pregnancy of Harley, pain in facing parents and the way in developing a relationship.

4. Girl’s in Trouble

The story entitled Girl’s in Trouble by Caroline Leavitt; it is also a story of teen pregnancy. The story tells about 16 years old girl, named Sara who is confused of birth experience. Her parents Jack and Abby also do not know how to raise their new granddaughter, Anne. Her baby is adopted by a married couple, George and Eva, but Sara actually does not want to let her baby goes. Then, she takes Anne and looking for baby’s father, Danny.

The last teen pregnancy books is The First Part Last by Angela Johnson. The story tells about the relationship of Bobby and Nia, the Urban NYC teenager who have baby in their teen life. Their life is changed when Nia pregnant and has a baby. Their parents ask them to adopt their baby to another people in order to make their life back into normal.
